What We Offer and How It Works

LeninVPN is a free, open-source VPN client based on AmneziaVPN. It allows you to set up a VPN on your own server, supporting self-hosted configurations across multiple protocols including AmneziaWG, WireGuard, OpenVPN, and others.

Self-Hosted VPN Setup. You connect to a VPN server that you own and control. To set it up, you enter your server's IP address, SSH login, and password or key directly into the LeninVPN client. This information never leaves your device and is never transmitted to LeninVPN or any third party.

Configuration Import. You may also connect by pasting a configuration key, scanning a QR code, or importing a configuration file. All such data is processed entirely on your device.

02

Data We Do Not Collect

LeninVPN does not collect, store, process, or transmit any personal data whatsoever. This applies to the app and to us as its developers.

We do not collect:

Because we collect no data, there is nothing to retain, share, sell, or disclose — ever.

03

Local Data Storage

The only data stored by the app is the VPN configuration you enter yourself (server address, protocol settings, and credentials). This data is saved locally on your device using the operating system's standard secure storage mechanisms. It is never uploaded, synced, or accessible to us.

04

Third-Party Services

The LeninVPN app does not integrate any third-party SDKs, analytics libraries, advertising networks, or tracking services.

The app may display links to external websites or resources for user convenience. When you visit those external sites, their own privacy policies apply. LeninVPN is not responsible for any data practices of third-party websites.

05

Security

All VPN traffic is end-to-end encrypted between your device and your own server using industry-standard protocols (AmneziaWG, WireGuard, OpenVPN, etc.). Because we collect no data and operate no shared servers, there is no LeninVPN infrastructure that could be breached to expose your information.

LeninVPN is open source (GPL-3.0). You can inspect the full source code at: github.com/EOSTribe/leninvpn.

06

Children

LeninVPN does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children. Our services are not directed at individuals under the age of 13 (or 16 where applicable under GDPR). Since we collect no data at all, no special measures regarding children's data are required.

07

Limitation of Liability and Acceptable Use

Our services are provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties regarding uninterrupted operation, speed, security, or fitness for any particular purpose.

Acceptable Use. Users agree to use LeninVPN only for lawful purposes. You must not use the app to:

LeninVPN does not monitor or log user traffic and is technically unable to do so.
